My name is Carine van Zyl and Meraci Photography is my creation and joy.

Derived from the Greek word “Meraki” with a touch of C instead of K. Meraci is the embodiment of my passion for beauty and photography.

Greek. meraki [may-rah-kee] (adjective)

This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love — when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be. I swapped the "K" with "C" for Carine. Putting something of myself into the name "Meraci"
